After liberation: how nations are born twice. The vision behind WorkLink
The first hours after the fall of the regime: amid the tears and the shouting, a strange silence. The battle for survival had ended and the greater battle, the battle of building, had begun. Most people think reconstruction starts with cement and steel; real reconstruction starts with infrastructure for people and for data. Syrian talent was scattered, companies displaced, and the international organisations about to arrive had no compass to find real expertise. Syria did not need another job board; it needed an operating system for its labour market, an ecosystem that connects young talent with UN agencies, INGOs, and the private sector, and runs the tenders sector transparently. That need became WorkLink, and the need for independent cloud infrastructure became Levant Host.
