Future problems
A habit that turned out to be a method: before solving any problem, ask what kind it is. Four kinds. A current problem is mine, exists now, and I can act on it; it is the only kind worth my time and nerves. A future problem has not happened yet, so prepare reasonably and let it go. An unsolvable problem is outside my control, a power cut or an exchange rate; the only move is to accept and adapt. Someone else's problem deserves help if asked, not my shoulders. Three questions sort any problem into its box, hybrid problems get split so only the actionable part lands in the first box, and there is a warning about using the method to dodge work instead of to see clearly.
